Throughout this document, the terms “we”, “us”, “our” & “ours” refer to Sustainable Mobility Network, Asar Social Impact Advisors Pvt Ltd and IndiaEVolve.com and the terms “you”, “your” & “yours” refer to YOU (the individual whose personal data we are referring to). “Application” refers to your application for the India EVolve: Electrifying Last Mile Deliveries Innovation Challenge competition, henceforth referred to as the “Innovation Challenge”.

What Personal Data We Collect And How We Obtain It

We collect, store, and process the following types of personal data. Each category also explains how we get this data from you.

  1. Demographic & identity data (for example, name, email address, contact number,  address, date of birth, institution): This data is collected when you submit your application for the Innovation Challenge. Some of this data may be collected when you register for our online and in-person events.
  2. Educational & Professional Data (for example, current and past employment/education information): This data is collected when you submit your application.
  3. Knowledge, Opinions, Interests: This data may be part of your application.
  4. Personal Identification Documents (for example, identity card, Aadhaar card): This data will be collected to verify your age if your application is shortlisted.
  5. Financial Account Details (for example, bank account number and other bank details, PAN card): This data will be collected to process your payment and deduct applicable taxes if you win the Innovation Challenge.
  6. Communication Details (for example, your email address, phone number): This data is collected when you
    1. apply to the Innovation Challenge,
    2. when you contact us via email, social media, SMS or mobile phone messaging apps such as WhatsApp), and
    3. register for and participate in our online and in-person events.
  7. Online Identifiers and other Technical Data (for example, your city/ country): This data is collected automatically when you visit our website.
  8. Photographs, audio, video: This data may be recorded when you participate in our online and in-person events.

How We Use Your Personal Data

We use your personal data for the following purposes.
  1. To evaluate your application for the Innovation Challenge, which includes but is not limited to, shortlisting entries and judging shortlisted entries;
  2. To verify your identity and age if your application is shortlisted;
  3. To deduct applicable taxes and disburse prize money if your application wins;
  4. To send you communication about the Innovation Challenge and other Sustainable Mobility related initiatives and activities in the future;
  5. To conduct activities and events related to the Innovation Challenge and other initiatives on Sustainable Mobility.

Legal Grounds For Processing Your Data

We process your personal data based on the following legal grounds.
  1. You have explicitly given us your consent to process your personal data for specific purposes.
  2. You have voluntarily provided your personal data to us.
  3. Processing your data is necessary for us to comply with legal obligations, such as towards law enforcement agencies, government agencies, regulatory authorities, etc.
For consent-based processing of your data, you can withdraw your consent at any time. If this withdrawal of consent results in us being unable to continue to provide you services, we reserve the right to withdraw/ cease our services to you. For example, if you withdraw your consent for us to process your personal data, you cannot continue to participate in the Innovation Challenge. To withdraw your consent, email us at contact@indiaEVolve.com. We will reply to you explaining the consequences of your withdrawal. If you agree to the same and confirm withdrawal, we will process your withdrawal request.

Who We Share Your Data With

We only share your personal data with third parties if it is necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected and/ or for which you have given us consent, or for reasons related to legal and regulatory compliance. We may share your personal data with the following types of third parties.
  1. Partners, consultants, contractors, vendors, or other agents who provide us the services necessary to run this website, the Innovation Challenge, and events related to it.
  2. Law enforcement authorities, government authorities, courts, dispute resolution bodies, regulators, auditors, and any party appointed or requested by applicable regulators to carry out investigations or audits of our activities.
  3. Statutory and regulatory bodies, authorities (including the government) investigating agencies and entities or persons, to whom or before whom it is mandatory to disclose personal data as per the applicable law, courts, judicial and quasi-judicial authorities and tribunals, arbitrators, and arbitration tribunals.
  4. Technical third parties such as web analytics service providers, web administrators, bulk emailing/ messaging services. Such third parties do not have access to most of your personal data, do not share the limited data thay have and do not use it for any purposes other than what we have contracted them for.

Cross-Border Data Transfer

We do not knowingly transfer your personal data to other countries outside India. We do not have control over the location of third-party servers such as Google, whose cloud services we use.

    1. ask us to correct your personal data that you think is inaccurate; and
    2. ask us to complete your personal data that you think is incomplete.
  3. Right to Erasure: You have the right to ask us to erase your personal data that we have, under certain circumstances.
  4. Right of Grievance Redressal: You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Board in case you do not receive a satisfactory response from us with regard to your grievance.
  5. Right to Nominate: You have the right to nominate a person to act on your behalf in case of death or incapacitation.
